The EHS-area comprises mainly of three important sub-areas:
- Impact from the Group on the outside environment, for example through emissions of solvents or handling of waste.
- Effects on the Health & Safety of our employees, caused for example by chemical agents or by the psychosocial situation.
- Incident prevention related to large volume handling of flammable goods and chemical substances.
High level of systematics and Information
The PolyPeptide Group has an environmental management system in the shape of an Environmental manual with policy and goals and procedures according to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's guidance.Furthermore, the Group prepares the Green Accounts and the authority has the possibility to discuss PolyPeptide's environmental management system and Green Accounts.

Our primary task is to- Ensure that necessary environment licenses are at hand.
- Create and maintain necessary controlling activities to ensure compliance with licences and regulations.
Occupational Health and Safety
Our primary task is to- Ensure a healthy and good working environment by using a systematic approach where risk assessments, preventive actions and follow up are natural components.
- Train and inform employees on matters of occupational health.
- Develop and implement necessary routines.
- Facilitate a well functioning work environment organization where employee involvement is an important part
Fire Safety
Our primary task is to- Ensure a safe handling of flammable liquids, e.g. by adopting the ATEX-regulations
- Develop and implement emergency plans.
